SURVEY DUE Tuesday, November 3rd - Phase 3 Family Preference for Remote vs. In-Person Learning: Please be sure to fill out this CALS survey alerting us of your preference for learning if CALS were to re-open in Phase 3. You would have the option of either remote learning or in-person learning.
The CALS Family Association is back! We understand that this year, more than ever, is an important time to stay connected as a community. We would like to re-launch the CALS’ Family Association and are actively seeking members for various levels of involvement. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form and a member of our school will reach out to you about our first Family Association meeting set to take place in November!
Save the Date: Progress Report Conferences will be held on November 19th and 20th. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to schedule a virtual progress report conference to be held on either 11/19 or 11/20.

CALS Clinicians’ Team Student Resource Document
Our CALS clinicians have opened their Virtual Counseling Office! Students have been invited to join their google classroom (Virtual Counseling Office) where they will have access to information on after school activities, information about transitioning to middle school (for 4th grade), social emotional learning resources, strategies for distance learning, and anti-racist resources. Check out the Coping Corner and keep your eyes peeled for social emotional learning book recommendations.
DOE Meal Locations: Charter School Families can now pick up meals at any of these city locations.
Introducing SimplyE, the New York Public Library’s FREE, open source e-reader Mobile App that provides their entire collection of more than 300,000 e-books & audio books!! You can borrow up to (3) book titles at a time, and have access to them for (2) weeks.
