GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT – CALS has ordered graduation caps for all KG scholars that they can wear during their virtual graduation. Kindergarten families may begin picking up their graduation caps all weekdays
After the virtual graduation, Kindergarten families are invited to the CALS building to meet their teachers and snap a quick photo and receive a small gift on June 11th at the following times:
12PM – 1PM: KA Temple & KB Smith
1PM – 2PM: KC Kent & KD Spelman
CALS has ordered graduation caps for all 4th grade scholars which can be worn during their virtual graduation; you may come to pick up your scholar’s graduation cap. You’ll also receive a small graduation gift! If you’re unable to pick up your item prior to graduation, you will receive these items when you return your technology over the weekend.
Families, please note that school will start earlier in the 2021-2022 year for our students, beginning on August 16. This change will add 11 days of learning for CALS students. We are making a change to the academic calendar because students have lost many hours of school this past year. Also, adding instructional time to next year’s calendar will benefit all Ascend students and allow us to begin mitigating post-pandemic impacts sooner. We believe every extra hour of learning matters in preparing our students for success in college and beyond. Please read the letter from our CSO Brandon Sorlie and CEO Lisa Margosian, available in English, Spanish, and Creole.
